Problems With Peanut

Although the peanut I am eating is gummy and an extremely small amount, I am still experiencing allergic reactions to it. After I eat the peanut’s, my stomach starts to hurt. When I explain the pain to my parents, I describe it as burning and cramping. At first, I attempted to get rid of the pain by distracting myself. I focus on my homework or watch tv. If the pain continues, I take an antacid. Usually, this relieves the pain and makes me feel better. However, there have been a few instances where this does not help. When this happens, I take a benadryl. I start off by taking 12.5 mg of benadryl. From there, depending on the pain, I increase by 12.5 and stop once I get to 50 mg.
Although I am experiencing pain, it is not guaranteed if the pain I am experiencing is directly from the peanut. Considering how small the dose of peanut is, it is surprising that I was reacting to it. I have been preparing my immune system to eat the peanut from the beginning of the program by eating flours and seeds that relate to it. It is a big possibility that the root of the pain is coming from anxiety. One thing I have learned from this experience is that the mind can play a big role.
